Update your FrontLine Data Backup
software by follow easy steps below.
Before you start the process, please ensure that you have your Data Backup
license key available. You will need that information to complete the update.
1. Go to c:\program files\ broadview networks\config
2. Copy conf.dat to the desktop
3. Uninstall Broadview FrontLine Data Backup (go to Start menu, then
find the folder, then select the Uninstall option)
4. Reboot the machine
5. Go to c:\program files and delete the Broadview FrontLine Data Backup
folder
6. Download the new software version via the following link:
https://www.mozypro.com/downloads/broadview-1_8_14_2-3365.exe
You will be asked for a license key after downloading the new agent...use
your existing license keys for each machine at this point. This information was
provided when you when you set up service for the first time.
Select the same encryption key you used before. You will also be asked to
run an initial backup our your data again. Select the middle option here...
start my backup when the computer is idle.
Then click Finish.
7. Copy the conf.dat files from the desktop to the new Broadview
folder
here: c:\program files\ broadview networks\config
At this step, move the conf.dat file from your desktop into the new Config
folder above, and over-write the conf.dat file that already exists in this folder
with the one from your desktop. (The conf.dat folder from your desktop contains
all of your previous agent information.)
That completes the installation. If you experience any difficulties, please
